Assemblage
LOOK, PLAN, ACT, REFLECT
One of the themes being explored in the 2015 British Ceramics Biennial is ‘the production line’. As artists, AirSpace studio members are interested in everything which leads up to the production line: the creative process which takes the practitioner from moment of inspiration through to the making of a refined art work. For the AirSpace studio artists the art work may be an object, but it can also be a moment, a dialogue, an intervention and more.
Each artist’s process is different, but shared is the rough framework articulated by Look, Plan, Act, Reflect. With this exhibition ‘Assemblage’, we aim to make visible some of our processes, as well as our outcomes, inviting the viewer to explore what it means to be an artist working here, in this ceramic city.
Exhibition Opening: Saturday 26th September 2015-12pm
Open Friday/Saturdays 11-5pm (2nd October-17th October 2015)
