A unique opportunity for you to put yourself first by taking the space to re-engage with and develop your individual creative and critical thinking. Transform your practice, both in and beyond your classroom, by spending three days working with artists to experiment with forms of presentation and active participation; looking, discussing, questioning, sharing, doing and making.

Autumn School involves engaging with artwork in the Tate collection and includes access to the exhibitions. You will explore how this wide range of artwork, set within the context of the curated space, can be used as a way of informing and progressing ideas.

For this year’s Autumn School, artist filmmaker Anna Lucas has invited Giles Eldridge and Frances Scott to share how their art practice and processes are informed by photographic imagery. Studio- and gallery-based sessions will focus on an engagement with still and moving image work through re-interpreting, juxtaposition, documentation and dissemination. Alongside selected works in the Tate collection we will also investigate our enjoyment of cinema and its influences on art practice.
