The exhibition, titled ‘BAD YARNS’ is centred on the stories and anecdotes from the experience of travel and exploration, no matter how near or far from one’s locale, internally and externally. The word ‘Yarns’ might also allude to the concept of experiences woven; textiles, materials and fabrics, in everyday life. Also, associations with acts of embellishing, transforming or improvising an otherwise uninteresting tale.
The Collective have invited five London-based contemporary artists to exhibit work alongside them. Full details of those participating from London will be released soon, however the Collective are thrilled to announce that artists Hanna ten Doornkaat, Samuel Vilanova, Karl Bielik and Mike Ballard will be exhibiting with us at BAD YARNS.
The exhibition will be held at The Tabernacle Gallery, The Tabernacle Building, 25 Powis Square, Nottinghill W11 2AY and runs from the 21-26 January 2025. An opening event will be held on 21st January 5-9pm including a live band.
