BETWEEN EXPRESSION AND ACTION A group show of drawing that reaches beyond material surface. Andrea Artz, Jon Aye, Alexander Mahdi Coy, Jules Dorey Richmond, Livia Garcia, Jade Gilbert, Amy Goring, Louisa Parker and James Shaw 3 – 5 December 2010 Opening 3 December, Friday, 6-9pm Red Eric Studios, 47 Westfield Road LS3 1DG Leeds This exhibition developed to draw together a diverse group of artists who, sharing only a tiny slice of personal history, found drawing practice to be the most fertile common ground. Drawing which investigates, explores, transforms and generates – drawing which supports and documents and drawing which stands alone. Drawing which scratches at the edge of sculpture, sound, paint, place, object – drawing which renders a surface absolute. This connecting line, running through our practice reveals the process of art making and acts as a forum to test, evaluate and disseminate our contemporary art practice. Open Hours and Events 3 December Friday 6-9pm – Opening 4 December Saturday 2-4pm Artists talks 5 December Sunday 1-5pm – Closing party
