Between the lines – an exhibition of image, words and story by artist Ray Jacobs and wordsmith Julia Dean-Richards A selection of nine photographs by artist Ray Jacobs reveals his light catching quests, combining landscapes with the human figure in silhouette, to invoke story and mystery. Wordsmith Julia Dean Richards has taken the titles of Ray’s images as starting points to create eight ‘imaginings’. These written pieces play with words and story, creating new worlds for the viewer to fall into. As well as being thought provoking photographs and writings in their own right the exhibition explores the different ways that word and image can be perceived, revealing a creative dialogue between photographer and writer.
