Charcoal portrait workshop Sunday 29th March. Suitable for all abilities from beginners to more experienced artists.
The workshop will be all day 10 am to 4 pm and will start with me demonstrating a charcoal portrait from a photo. Then you will sketch from a variety of photos I will provide, or bring your own.
You will sketch 2 or 3 portraits stopping for lunch along the way. We will finish off the day with a portrait sketch from a life model. This workshop will be fairly relaxed.
Mill End Community Centre, WD3 8HD. Usually plenty of parking. (The small hall at the back right of the building, enter by the side door on the right hand side.) http://www.millendcc.co.uk
Cost £50
I will provide all equipment and paper. Tea and coffee.
You need to provide:-
An A3 size drawing board and an easel to hold it with. (If you have problems with this let me know as I will be able to lend a couple.) A standing up easel is particularly beneficial for charcoal as it allows you to step back and evaluate your drawing as a whole. A packed lunch.
