“Community” is the title of a box portfolio featuring the works of printmakers from Britain, Pakistan, France, Brazil and Canada. The curator Asma Hashmi, has previously worked on a similar print’s exchange in “Different Drummer” for Indus Valley School of Art and Architecture Karachi Pakistan 2009 , and collation of “20/20” for London Print Studio, London UK 2014.
Hashmi’s altruistic vision is aimed as a fundraiser for regenerating Magdalen Road Studio’s Gallery. This is an artist run studio and registered as a charity on Magdalen Road, Oxford. It has served as a hub for creative practise, presenting a wide array of visual art to the diverse community of Oxford.
Participating artists are Meher Afroz, Nurayah Sheikh, Farina Alam, Laila Rahman, Sabina Gilani, Adeliza Mole, Julian Dourado, Chris Otley, Richard Stephens, Roberta Catizone and Asma Hashmi amongst others.
