This collection of digital finger paintings by Dan Young began life as part of the ‘Dan Young, Daily Project – Year 4?. Since the inception of this project in November 2008 Dan has found time every day to indulge his passion for painting. Each year Dan changes his approach and Year 4 of the project saw him move away from traditional painting techniques to making a digital finger painting every day. The subject of each days painting, inspired by Dan’s daily life, ranged from a bottle of beer, a piece of cake to a banjo and a variety of landscape images both rural and urban. These landscape paintings became some of the most exciting images which Dan has now developed into a new set of digital paintings that put a spotlight on areas of Cheltenham and the Cotswolds you may not have noticed before.
