How can a particle also be a vibration? At what point does two become one? How can very dense energies be contained? Informed by current scientific theory, and in the spirit of natural philosophy, this series of sculptures by artist Nick Turvey sets out a series of propositions about elemental form. Working with Venetian maestro Silvano Signoretto and his team, Turvey uses the fluid viscosity of molten glass as a dynamic, analogue process, manipulating form and refraction to investigate complex relationships between space and matter.
