Philippe Bazin's photo, now on show in the 10 freestanding signboards in Dover town, was produced during his Dover Arts Development (DAD) residency in Dover last summer. He was the fourth of five artists commissioned by DAD to work in Dover in response to the location and communities. Bazin chose to research and photograph the life of Dover's port. DAD is very grateful to Dover Harbour Board, Hammond PLC and SeaFrance for their cooperation with this project.DAD Photography Commissions 07-08 is part of Embarkation, Dover Arts Development's major programme of visual arts for Dover Town and District. It has been made possible by £85k from Arts Council England, South East and the European Union through the Interreg IIIA programme as well as the generous support of Dover businesses and public agencies.
