Featured last spring as an emerging artist in Green Hill’s New Inhabitants Exhibition, Danny’s solo exhibition shows a body of work that demonstrates his growing reputation as a painter of the English landscape. He paints directly from life, embracing the elements. He can often be seen on Dartmoor, trudging along with his canvas. His work celebrates the light and the essence of the land; his expressive brushmarks giving the viewer a glimpse into his connection with nature. The paintings capture the intangible otherness and unruliness of the moors, carved river valleys and ancient woodland in the lasting medium of oil paint.
