An installation of artwork celebrating, creativity, heritage and community in St.Day accompanied by performance, art activities and refreshments, see website for details. Funded by Feast and Cornwall Community Foundation Grassroots grants this is the second of 3 events taking place in St Day organized by artists Kim Pilgrim and Clare Summerson. The community artwork inspired by the beautiful hand painted glass fallen from the windows of the old church has been created under the guidance of Caroline Cleaves, Hazel Mcgregor and organisers Kim and Clare. Collected by the community, hidden, tracked down and returned to the village by Kim, some of the glass will be reunited with its rightful home for the duration of the exhibition. The church is roofless, open to the elements and is now a haven for birds. We are also inviting visitors to bring a picnic, bring a sketch book, and join in any of the free exhibition related art activities that will be happening throughout the week, weather permitting.
