Adomas Narkevičius – Desire in Whispers

Through this informal lecture, we will look into and discuss brief glimpses and bursts of erotic, sensual artmaking practices in the expanded field including outsider art and pop culture in the tumultuous, complex history of Lithuania in XX century that points to suppression of desire on societal and personal levels. Rather than attempting at presenting an exhaustive study of the subject, we will focus on some specific precious moments and occurrences and what they speak to us now.
