Destruction to Construction is an exhibition of sketches of the recent Headingley Stadium redevelopment, all drawn on location by Joe Bean. The historic stadium has evolved many times since its establishment in 1890. The internationally renowned sporting landmark in Leeds hosts both cricket and rugby matches and has recently undergone yet another radical transformation. Joe has captured the changes over an 18 month period in 2017-18 with a series of ink and watercolour sketches. All were drawn from life whilst on site.
Created for this exhibition, all prints are for sale – ask at Coffee on the Crescent for details.
Exhibition Opening Party and artist introduction: 3rd October 17:30 – 19:00 at Cafe on the Crescent. Free, no booking required. Refreshments available to purchase.
Destruction to Construction runs from 4th October 2019 – end date TBC.
