Presented by Artsadmin’s Youth Board, a movie night combining the old and the new. One existing feature film provides the inspiration for three shorts from new filmmakers. The Cost of Living By DV8 Eddie and David are disillusioned street performers. Eddie is tough, confrontational and not afraid to defend his beliefs. David is a legless dancer who is quietly determined not to let his disability or society’s prejudices get in the way. The Cost of Living is an influential and acclaimed film by a company who cross the boundaries of dance, theatre, film and social commentary. This is a rare opportunity to see a seminal piece of work that has won many awards (including the 2005 Prix Italia and the Rose D’Or). It’s also a great chance to relax, have a drink and socialise in a friendly, laid back environment! The feature will be accompanied by three shorts from new filmmakers.
