In this series of 5 lessons taught by artist Kate Hammersley you will be able to create a series of drawings from direct observation, each week we take a different topic to develop from mark making to mixed media and creating surfaces to work on. Suitable for people wanting to refresh their skills and gain confidence in their creativity. Drawing is vitally important as a visual language that helps us communicate ideas, transfer knowledge and express emotions. Practicing drawing has significant health benefits backed by research including utilising fine motor skills, improving memory and relieving stress. If the weather is good we will take the easels outside and draw the landscape around the studio. You will be encouraged to develop a personal approach to your practice through group teaching, demonstrations and one to one tuition.
