This is a series of 3 drawing and stitching workshops in the Medway/Swale area of North Kent funded by Ideas Test.Run by 2 artists Marcia Teusink and Rosie James participants will be drawing from the architecture and the landscape on location and this will be followed by interpretations of drawings using fabrics and stitch.
Each location is chosen for its interesting architecture and history. At Blue Town the focus will be on the Old Dockyard Church, for which access has been allowed to go inside this now derelict building. Grain is on the other side of the River Medway from Sheerness, it has a large power station and chimney which dominates the skyline, this is under demolition and this will be the last chance to draw from it.
