A house becomes an art space for the weekend. Ephemeral House, the new contemporary arts initiative in Sedbergh, and Andi Chapple, sound and graphic artist, are collaborating to produce this multi-media installation as part of Sedbergh Music Festival 2008. The piece combines field recordings, photography and riverbank stones in an interactive sculpture to present a new perspective on the ancient River Rawthey. A walk along the stones becomes a walk up or down the river … The venue, a vacated family home, is close to one of the main footpaths onto the Howgill Fells, making it an ideal stop-off for walkers and passers-by alike. Admission is free.
