In the sprit of all things subversive, carnivalesque, collective and raw,Peckham Truth Booth is very proud to present a kaleidoscopic evening of Captain Zip Super-8 cinema and Easycome auditory wonder!
The fifth instalment of Easycome’s summer residency at the Truth Booth sees the legendary Captain Zip and the indomitable Hank Dog come together for an evening of Punk infused acoustic music, live improvised soundscapes and Super-8 movies depicting 70s & 80’s Punk life, BDSM and fetish parades.
Line Up
20:00 to 22:00 – Outdoors screening of Captain Zip movies with acoustic acts by Easycome TBA.
22:00 to 00:00 – Private screening of Captain Zips BDSM and fetish parade movies with music & performances by Malachy Orozco, Zsazsa Sapian (Meatraffle), Chris OC (Phobo Phobes, Pit Ponies, Meatraffle), Bruno Wizard (The Homosexuals) and Jemma Carnell (Without Consent Records and Soho Radio).

Captain Zip is an urban filmmaker based in London, famous for his Super-8 films of punks, and more recent works exploring the world of BDSM. Captain Zip still makes all his work in Super-8 cine film, although a number of his works have been transferred onto video for storage in the archives of the British Film Institute.
The longest running open-mic night in London ‘Easycome Acoustic Club’ is run by Andy ‘Hank Dog’, who has been compering and MC’ing the evening for the entire 23 years. Over the years Easycome has played host to the likes of Florence Welch, The Fat Whites and Indigo Moss to name a few. Having started out playing bass for the Sex Pistols Andy Hank Dog is well known throughout London and beyond for his dark, dusty and twangy songs.
Throughout this summer across Southwark Adam James in association with MOCA London, The NINES Peckham, Sustrans and Peckham Vision will host a number of artist led events including artist talks, workshops, participatory performances, walks, float-making, Nordic Larps and story-telling exploring themes relating to ‘truth’ and group engagement as means to unleash collective unconscious. This event is supported through Arts Council England grants for the arts.
