Painting outdoors is an immersive experience and gives the painter the most direct perspective with their subject. This course run by artist Tom Marsh will help painters build a skill set to enable them to simplify the essence of both subject and content quickly before their subject changes.
Careful attention will be paid to using bold compositions to enable the best use of tonal values and the feeling of depth. We will also take a good look at perceived colour perception the true colour value.
All of the above will be practised in the beautiful Suffolk landscape alongside artist Tom Marsh who will be their to guide and encourage. During the painting excursions Tom will also paint so that you can see how he might interpret the same landscape.
There will be some studio time to discuss materials, a painting demonstration and an end of day chance to see each others work, share thoughts and positive critique.
