This exciting project from artist/curator Jemma Bailey, presented in association with Cole and Co Gallery, brings together seven emerging artists from across the UK to investigate a common theme of being lost, making new friends, exploring unfamiliar surroundings and the communication difficulties and emotions that these experiences often evoke. Having recently left everything and everyone she knew to relocate to Cardiff, Bailey documents the transition from North Wales, starting from scratch in a new city with nothing but an A-z and a rucksack of belongings. You are invited to experience Bailey’s isolation, Bush and Asthana’s collaborative poetic responses, Head’s innebriated friends, Booth’s emotional attachment, Phillips’ “hiraeth” and the view through Gelder’s eyes.
