In this exhibition of new works, Mc Dermott reconfigures thoughts that emerged from past works and recreates new sculpture. The physical and mental activity that develops around an intimate idea takes shape in the continuation of evolving works.
As in the case with ‘work-in-progress’ time is a key factor in relation to what is seen as sculpture and what is an evolving idea. During the week of 11th August Mc Dermott will be using the Fovea Gallery as an evolving insulation, so that from beginning to the end of the exhibition there will be constant change allowing the viewer to become part of the ‘work-in-progress’ of thought.
Gallery hours: Wednesday through to Saturday, 11am-6pm
