Local artist Nigel Clynick shares drawing, moving image, painting and sculptural work created from an obsessive pursuit of gathering data from the horse racing industry and based on observation and experiment. He creates masses of vibrant coloured charts as he records every horse race in Britain and offers outrageous odds based on his findings. He paints numerical sequences from ‘Jockey Silk’ colour combinations which he also features in the moving image. In this his latest body of work Nigel records, plots, integrates and figures, producing work which embraces chance, repetition, change and continuity.
