A public art and celebration event. Final Frontier is a one day event showcasing 5 unique artworks which have been inspired by Gateshead Riverside Park and the local area. Since November 2008 artists Suzanne Hutton, Janine Goldsworthy and Michael Branthwaite from rednile have been working with selected artists Jo Ray, David Thomas, Sarah Bayliss and Sophie Lisa Beresford. They have been artists in residence at a local community centre where they have researched and developed their ideas whilst working with groups in the area. The event is the finale of this exciting project and will allow the public to have a unique experience of the park and view brand new works by the artists.
