Take one camera phone, add a touch of woodland magic, blend for several months, sprinkle with a bit of TLC and serve in the coldest months of the year to bring a wash of colour into the monochromes of winter. This project allows any member of the community to record both the highs and lows of their local woodlands. It is both a celebration of the best of our local woodlands and also the damage that people can do through their thoughtlessness. The exhibition, which is part of the Woodland Communities project, encompasses ten woodlands owned by The Woodland Trust, five in Runcorn and five in Warrington. The result is kaleidoscope of images taken by regular woodland visitors, none of whom are trained photographers. This is their record of our local woods!
