Ruth Thomas creates collagraphs using objects that are naturally occurring, often discarded, lifeless or redundant, such as snake skins, worm casts or seed heads. The work gives new life, form and colour to the objects, while retaining their innate characteristics and natural beauty.Jan Gardner looks for sensuous enchantment, vibrance, colour, texture, depth and decoration. She is intrigued and excited by stories, places, her imagination and dreams, music and journeys, working in a variety of printmaking processes including drypoint, collagraph and screen-printing.Steffan Jones-Hughes' work for this show is taken from a new body of work exploring ideas of narrative and storytelling. He returns to childhood fantasies of being a bird producing a series of prints that reflect on the fragility of life, love and existence.Luci Melegari follows the 'Romantic' outlook of the late eighteenth century in her work, using ancient landmarks in North Wales to creative personal interpretations which are not about topographical accuracy but are about conveying something of the essence of the landscape: light, movement and history. Her images are created using both traditional and non-traditional printmaking techniques such as relief, screen and monoprint processes.
