The human figure and what it means to be human are two major themes in this exhibition of paintings, drawings and collages by the Reading artist Robert Fitzmaurice. The title is an allusion to the journey from source material to image: departure is something observed; arrival is a form that has acquired significance and identity in artistic terms. In a similar vein the title also refers to the exhibition space itself, leading as it does from the real world into that of the theatre.
