During her two year’s residency at South Hill Park, Machi de Waard has been distilling her modern style into a core collection. It displays an aesthetic with clean lines that contrasts silver and gold. Influenced by the simplicity of forms of early modern art, fundamental shapes are placed in subtle relationships with one another. The gold sphere provides a sense of tension or playfulness by balancing on the curve or peeking out from behind the silver. Machi is inspired by abstract expressionism and minimalism. www.machidewaard.co.uk
