Giuliana was born in Tuscany. She uses a variety of media to create expressive and evocative images of landscapes, seascapes and figurative subjects. Her earliest contact with art was through her father’s Mosaic Studio. She remembers being fascinated by the translucency of the mosaic fragments and the way colours can vibrate against each other always fascinated me. She now describes colour as being a very important element in her work, helping her to convey emotion and communicate with the viewer. ‘My work is varied and often developed from an idea encountered during a Journey that takes me in an unknown territory, where I grow as an artist. I usually work in small series of paintings, where memory and imagination come to interplay. Time has made me more familiar with the Northern landscape and it has finally left a mark in some of my work, as I become more intrigued by its drama and atmosphere.’ This Solo Exhibition will be showing Giuliana’s Original Oils, Acrylics & Watercolours. Also a selection of MonoPrints, Linocuts, Limited Edition Prints & Hand Made Cards.
