Glanfyll Lewis and Stella Hunt will be showing their work in a joint exhibition ‘Surviving Change’ at Courtyard Arts, Hertford from August 25 to September 5. This exhibition highlights the differences between these two established artists who have developed their own particular and personal style of expression, both attempting in their art forms to respond to and interpret societal changes in the general environment. Although their art forms are markedly different which visitors can see for themselves, there are in fact similarities in their processes of developing a painting. Stella Hunt, using brushes and paint, has commented that ‘ I have found that paint takes on a life of its own when applied to papers, or indeed any other surface’. Glanfyll Lewis, using the mouse and computer screen, is interested in ‘encouraging diversity in his work starting from the premise that ‘the element of chance should be embraced and not ignored.’ Glanfyll’s work can also be seen at www.glanfyll-lewis.com
