Harvest Film Festival is hosting a competition of short films on the themes of farming, food and land. A selection of submissions will be showcased at the festival, to be held at Lower Hewood Farm on Saturday 10th October and Open School East, London, on Saturday 7th November.
We are keen to hear from emerging and established filmmakers using a range of approaches and from any genre including documentary, drama, animation, experimental or artist film.
The judges are Maria Benjamin (filmmaker and farmer), Dictynna Hood (writer and director), Gareth Evans (film curator, Whitechapel Gallery) and Alexa de Ferranti (director, Lower Hewood Farm)
First prize: £500 and a week-long residency at Lower Hewood Farm to work on a project of your choice.
Second prize: £250 and a selection of produce from Lower Hewood Farm.
Third prize: £100 and a selection of produce from Lower Hewood Farm.
The deadline for submissions is midnight 31st August 2015.
