Everyone understands how devastating cuts can be on education, and we students understand that now more than ever these necessary cuts have to be made. We the students of Cardiff School of Art are very unsatisfied with how the managers of our university have managed such cuts.Management have decided to close the Sculpture and Performance Departments within the school, these areas will now not be taught and not be part of the Fine Art Course which will have a devastating affect on culture and the arts in Cardiff and the South West.’Hello Sculpture’ is a celebration of all things Sculpture, including discussions about arts education, a tour of our final sculpture degree show. It will be an amazing day to speak with students, lecturers, practicing artists and supporters of the visual arts and education in Wales.
