An exciting and refreshing exhibition of distinctive sculptural ceramics, and mixed media 3D wall art painted in oils, by Isle of Wight artist Andrew Dowden.
Andrew’s work is inspired by tracks made on the land and shore by man, machine and by nature, leaving their imprint on the earth. Form and textured surfaces are his main interest with ideas from engineering and machinery, history and archaeology adding further dimension to designs.
Andrew will be in attendance throughout the exhibition and will be happy to chat to visitors about his work. A percentage of all exhibition sales goes to Quarr Abbey, a registered charity.
This substantial High Summer Exhibition at the Quarr Abbey Art Gallery, will run from Thursday, 22nd August to Tuesday, 27th August. 10 am to 5pm. Admission to exhibition, abbey grounds and church is free.
