Taking its title from a phrase often (mis)attributed to Churchill, this exhibition of new works in video, sculpture, installation, and photography is played out through a series of references to political and cultural turmoil through recent history. Through the lens of contemporary cultural hindsight, Gubb highlights shifting meanings and alternative interpretations – balancing the dystopian mood with a wry sense of dark humour.
