Immersion is an exhibition of practice as research by each of the four LOCATE Research Group artists, Nicola Gilmour, Melanie Morrell, Kayla Parker and Sally Waterman, who are all doctoral candidates at The University of Plymouth; and reflects their ongoing engagement with process and materials, site specificity and the body, and the development of links between praxis and theory. Each artist considers the concept of immersing the self within the urban or rural landscape. Immersion exhibition has been organised in association with the LAND/WATER and the Visual Arts Research Centre summer symposium Landscape and Beauty.
