This winter Fabrica are showing ‘Many Happy Days’ by the 2022 Open Call winner Duncan Poulton. The exhibition is as part of the In Between Gallery on show in Fabrica’s picture window on Duke Street, Brighton.
This digital collage, in which archaeological textbook photographs and smiling cartoon rainclouds are compressed, reminds us that contradictions, like fear and apathy, coexist and come and go as the days pass, unrelenting.
Duncan Poulton is an artist based between London and Brighton, UK. His work addresses a visual culture of overabundance and ambivalence and explores the compression of histories and meaning engendered by the internet.
The In Between Gallery is a temporary gallery in the Fabrica window showing contemporary photography between Fabrica’s main exhibition programme.
Presented in partnership with Brighton PhotoFringe Spectrum Photographic and Jane & Jeremy
