Mark Devereux Projects presents In Nothing Flat a group exhibition at Old Granada Studios featuring work by twelve ambitious artists from across the UK. Spanning painting, sculpture and performance work, the exhibition marks the culmination of StudioBook: Mark Devereux Projects’ intensive eight-month long artist development programme.

Taking place at the iconic Old Granada Studios, at the heart of Enterprise City UK, In Nothing Flat brings together new and recent work by: Anna Columbine, Charlie Franklin, Clare Holdstock, Claire Tindale, Elizabeth Kwant, Jilly Morris, Lada Wilson, Libby Scarlett, Lucy May Schofield, Mandy Payne, Susan Gunn and Suzanne O’Haire.

Many of the exhibited works reflect the exciting developments that have occurred within the artist’s respective practices since the beginning of StudioBook. Others have chosen to revisit previous works, testing out ambitious methods of display or adding new elements.

In Nothing Flat will feature the launch of Mandy Payne’s newly commissioned work for the University of Salford Art Collection. Following on from her recent project based around the iconic Park Hill estate in Sheffield, Payne was awarded the £2,000 StudioBook commission for her proposal to make a new painting considering the recent impacts the tragic Grenfell Tower incident has had upon Salford’s growing housing developments. The work will enter into the University Art Collection following the exhibition.

StudioBook is produced by Mark Devereux Projects and supported by Arts Council England, Allied London, University of Salford, University of Salford Art Collection, a-n and Manchester Art Gallery.

Exhibition opening times: Wednesday – Saturday, 12-4pm and by appointment.
