Set in an old Edwardian Police Station, as the exhibition title suggests the artwork focus is on exploring the lengths individuals go to restoring their honour which they believe has been tainted or damaged in some way, unbeknown the effects this has on the victim.
Prevailing primarily on postcolonial 1st generation immigrants of Pakistani origins who have settled In the UK whose views have not changed or altered. Their actions leave a lasting effect on the second generation of young British Asian women, in many cases psychological trauma, and often leading to death.
My aim is to create awareness of this practice, inspire dialogue and change through my artwork.
