An urban ecology of chance is the outcome of a month-long residency project with Red Gate Gallery in Beijing, during April 2009. An exploration of the architecture, inhabitants and ecology of Beijing, has employed chance in its creative processes, in order to avoid total conscious control of the product. An urban ecology of chance maps aspects of the city that are overlooked or insignificant, fleeting or peripheral. Preview: Friday 16th Oct 6 – 9pm Open: Sat 17th – Fri 23rd Oct 11am – 6pm daily An urban ecology of chance is supported by the National Lottery through Arts Council England, The Confucius Institute at The University of Manchester, Mancester based artist led platform Interval and easa010.
