“We can’t save the world by playing by the rules, because the rules have to be changed. Everything needs to change – and it has to start today.” – Greta Thunberg

It’s What We Do Next brings together 7 artists and designers from across creative disciplines, whose work tackles the ongoing threat of the climate crisis.
As November begins, we find ourselves at the 26th COP Summit, leaders remain in stasis and with citizens the world over still reeling from the after-effects of the ongoing Covid crisis, we have to ask ourselves`: ‘What happens now? Where do we go from here?’
While the arts in the UK have been chronically undermined by the current government, chipped away at, and underrepresented, artists continue to make work, responding to and providing solace from the situation in which we find ourselves. This exhibition takes us on a journey to re-examine and re-imagine our relationship with the natural world.
The show invites you in to a number of alternative realities and asks you to consider how we move forward. Whatever the outcome of COP26, we need to act now – we should have acted already, but we cannot change that, it’s not what happens over two weeks of the conference, it’s what we do next…
