In his first solo exhibition with the gallery, Jack Kennedy will present a multi-room installation spanning sculpture, video and collage. Titled ‘Social Agony Conscious Healing’ the work establishes an imagined space drawing inspiration from the mythologisation of celebrity death, as well as the industries surrounding it. From deathbed tours, to E True Hollywood Stories, Kennedy examines our relationship to mortality within the public eye and to what extent our media-culture takes ownership of it. The exhibition will be accompanied by a corresponding text from American interdisciplinary artist Nick Klein.
