State Legacy: Chinese Art and Globalisation Course Starts Wednesday 20 May 14:00 – 16:00 5 weeks, see site for individual course dates, price and details Artist Kai-Oi Jay Yung leads a series of interactive lectures exploring the relationship between contemporary Chinese art and globalisation. The course stems from the artist's own interdisciplinary practice, combining multiple gallery, seminar and studio based workshop activities. Employing a collaborative, open-ended approach, the course will prompt dialogue and critical investigation with shared insight from special guest speakers including: Shanghai-based artists/curators; Sally Lai, Director, Chinese Arts Centre; Kwong Lee, Director, Castlefield Gallery and Alistair Hudson, Grizedale Arts.
