Andi Chapple will lead a sound walk round Kendal town centre, taking in the many sonic environments on offer, for the second annual World Listening Day. The walk will cover about a mile of easy, accessible walking, moving slowly, not talking, remembering that vision is not the only sense and re-discovering that listening is an exellent gate to openness and process. The walk will cost £3 (kids free).World Listening Day is an initiative of the Chicago-based World Listening Project and the Midwest Forum for Acoustic Ecology. Andi Chapple works in visual and aural media and performance and regularly leads soundwalks in urban and rural situations.
