Make a series of large scale drawings in the landscape around our studio in the heart of England. Through a series of engaging drawing activities you be able to gain confidence working on a large format by collaborating with others as well as working independently. You will be encouraged to develop a personal approach to mark making and self-expression, layering up marks on paper to create drawings which capture a sense of time and place. We will be using charcoal and a range of other drawing materials to add and subtract areas of the drawing. Drawing outdoors enables us to experience the elements, but if the weather is inclement we can work indoors in our comfortable studio. Numbers are strictly limited to 5 to enable you to have lots of space to work.

Kate is a lively and exciting person to work with. She teaches with great enthusiasm, kindness and calmness. Her projects always draw out something in you that you didn’t know you had! – A student
