Join our workshop to explore the exciting, accessible, and creative world of collage. This process offers incredible freedom to be imaginative and expressive, often resulting in unexpectedly vibrant, powerful, or humorous images.
We’ll begin by creating unique collaging papers using a variety of mixed media materials and techniques, focusing on textures and layers. You’ll then combine your custom papers with found images, drawings, printed materials, and other types of paper to form a series of small collages—each an artwork in its own right. Throughout the workshop, you will learn essential concepts such as composition, colour theory, layering, and how to create a visual narrative. Finally, you’ll bring everything together to create a unique and personal larger piece of collage-based artwork.
