On Saturday 12th November 2016, the Broken Grey Wires collective, along with Paul Kindersley, David Sherry, and Amy Mizrahi will showcase work at Islington Mill in Salford.
There will also be 5 live bands playing into the early hours.
Broken Grey Wires is a contemporary art organisation responding to and exploring mental health, philosophy, psychology and everything in between. We are four ambitious artists working together, sharing ideas, discussing films, writing articles, contributing in critiques and most importantly, making art.
We also work closely with the community, critically acclaimed artists and major institutions, to open up a dialogue and provide inspiration and opportunities for people with mental health difficulties.
The project already has an international profile, with artists such as David Shrigley, Jake and Dinos Chapman, Magda Archer, Jeremy Deller, Ryan Trecartin, Stuart Semple and The Vacuum Cleaner all involved. We have also had support from; Everton in the Community, The Early Psychosis Intervention Programme (NHS Trust), MMU ‘arts for health’ programme and Daily Life Ltd.We have formed an exceptional steering committee with members including Stephanie Rosenthal, David Shrigley, Yinka Shonibare MBE, Ceri Hand, Alexander Storey Gordon, Bartram and O’Neill and Dr Hester Parr.
