Lindsay Pickett – solo show
2-19.02.2017
Opening Night, Thursday, 2.02.2017, 6.30-9.00pm
From 2nd February, the gallery will unveil a solo show of new paintings by London-based artist Lindsay Pickett who is widely known for surrealism in his paintings.
“Pickett’s dreamy landscapes, executed in oils on canvas, linen and board, reveal hidden aspects of well-known London places set against strange juxtapositions of impossible architecture and far away lands. He experiments with drawings and photography to create extraordinary surrealist cityscapes, animals and figures,” comments Gosia Lapsa-Malawska from The Muse, an artist herself who is proud that the gallery won Time Out’s ‘Love London Awards 2016′ for local culture in Notting Hill and Westbourne Grove.
An award no doubt deserved as where else in West London would you find Lindsay Pickett’s mesmerizing work, reflecting influences of Salvador Dali, René Magritte and Hieronymus Bosch.
His work is also collected in Japan, Korea and Germany, where he has also exhibited to much acclaim.
