Make your own sound walk with Ralph Hoyte and Phill Phelps of Satsymph. Imagine walking around Frome and suddenly hearing stories and sounds on your phone headphones/ear buds as you arrive at different places. In this very special and unusual workshop you can choose the sounds to place on a digital map to create your own unique and personal sound walk.
Bring sounds you would like to use in any format on any sort of device (e.g. memory stick or phone). The sounds could be you or someone else talking – maybe about the River Frome or some other local feature; or the sound of birdsong or children playing; or perhaps a song. You can also bring something written and we will help you record it. No equipment or previous experience necessary. You will be making the mini-app on computers provided. Please bring a smartphone (android or or iphone) if you have one. If you don’t have one, two or three people can share the experience of the final sound walks. You can take away an IZl-T link to your new mini-app to share with friends and family!
What to bring: your android/iphone if you have one; and a sound recording or something written
