FRINGEMK – Project Space 1 – From December 2010 the FRINGEMK Project Space 1 will be re-launched as a live painting space. This will allow the public to watch the process of the artworks evolving and allow them to talk to and engage directly with the artists. The first project will be a vast painting by Newark based artist Alex Rubes, his work will start on 6 December 2010 and will develop through into the New Year 2011. His work is based around the macro- and micro-cosms of our universe and in parallel with Annett’s ‘Atavist [interloper] paintings’ shown on the Whitewall in thecentre:mk and in the Upper Gallery of the University Centre MK will provide a contemplative body of artworks for the Christmas period in central Milton Keynes.
