Lynn is interested in the mundane everyday aspects of life, our domestic surroundings; objects, places and things that are overlooked and considered insignificant. Her recent work explores the relationship we have with our homes past and present and examines the subconscious connections that we form with the domestic objects within. Ruth’s drawings are created through a mechanical process driven by obsessiveness in repetition, similar to doodling. In her work she questions the nature of reality and envisions new meaning in an attempt to create subconscious environments that have an alternative logic.
